I'm Late

Cursor… Cursor…

I’m late. It seems, to me at least, that I’m late more and more often. Maybe not. But it sure as hell seems that way.

Life takes over sometimes and causes us to run behind. Life gets in our way, causes our desires to be on hold and plays havoc with our goals. Life frustrates us, causes us to worry and keeps us up all night. Life can sucky and suck our energy, leaving us drained, unable to think. But life also brings us friends and family, laughter and love.

Deep breath.

Even though life spins us in circles, it’s important to remember to stop and breathe. Slow down, lighten up, chill out and enjoy what life is teaching us. Such as, the circle of life is ever evolving and it’s your turn to step up and take the wheel. The car can be replaced, a life can’t. A closing door opens another, chance to grow and expand our realm of knowledge.
Life is why we exist. And it’s what makes a great story.

So breathe and take notes.

Today, my husband and I are going to work side by side in the yard. It’s opportunity to connect, to talk, to laugh. I’m looking forward to yard work and taking mental notes.

  1. Hey Autumn, You and hubby come on down. My yard has plenty of opportunity for laughs and talk and weeds to connect with.
Probably not what you had in mind.

Carpe diem. Sieze that day, that moment. Those little things. You are right.

Thanks for reminding me NOT to walk too fast so that I miss today. The cat curled up next to me. The dog barking excitedly that Dad's come home from camping. Even the chugging of the washer reminding me we lead a very good life.
I am amazed and grateful for technology that has allowed me to "meet" great ladies like you. Reminding me to breathe and take notes.

Hope you and hubby enjoyed the day together.

  2. Hey, Lisa. I'm glad you stopped by again. I know what you mean about technology. I've made soooo many friends across the country and a few outside the USA. I can't wait to go to Nationals this year and meet a few.

Hubby and I got a lot of work done. Hope you had a great day.

  3. Lovely post, Autumn. Yes, indeed, life is to be treasured and the little things are what turn out to be the best - friends are our brightest blessings!!!

Enjoy your garden. I have these black thumbs so I'm only allowed to enjoy the flowers and never, ever think about getting involved in their care.

  4. LOL. Funny. I've had my share of trial and error. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you so much for your insightful post. I believe it is so important for each one of us to remember that even the most sucky moments have the possiblity of awesomeness in them. We just need to look for the gem in the muck.

  6. Hi. I'm thrilled you took the time. I tell my children, sucky times make the sweet times, sweeter. Enjoy your evening and please stop by again.

  7. Hello my dear! Things are slowing down a little bit for me so I thought I'd stop to say hi. Hope all is well! Can't wait for nationals! :-D

  8. Hey, Nisha. I know how crazy busy you are. Thanks you for taking the time to stop by. About eight weeks to go. Getting excited too.
