It’s George Washington’s birthday and I will not lie. I really like my day job. Yes. It’s Friday, but if was any other day of the week, I’d tell you the same thing. I like what I do. However, my passion is telling a great story~working with the characters and writing my thoughts and theirs down. Since I don’t work this weekend, I’ll be working on my next romantic suspense.

This time of year in the northeast, some people like go to the movies, or skiing, or bowling , or shopping the white sales, but me, I look forward to spending time with my fiction cast. Then, I’ll catch up on my own reading.

What will you be doing this weekend?

Revenge is what she wanted. A love she thought she didn't deserve is what she found. Can she be the woman he needs?

Hurting Someone Is .....

Good morning,

Recently I started a new novel, and two days later and I stopped. I had the perfect first chapter which ended with a lot of questions, however there was something stopping me from continuing. I knew from experience that when this happens something was wrong with my storyline. Not probably wrong. Definitely wrong. It took me a week to figure out what was hindering me. I don’t like to hurt others, and as a writer of romantic suspense/mystery I must.

I was born a kind kindhearted, old soul. I love helping people and rarely do I lash out at anyone. And if you connect with any of my fans of my Perfect Love line, they’ll tell you I’m those books. I’m the Hallmark, Gilmore Girls type.

I am a nice person. I’m not apologizing, but I’m also reader who loves a good suspense or mystery.

You’ve probably heard the old adage, ‘Write what you know.’ Well in today’s world authors can research and learn with the click of a button. So, the new old adage is ‘Write what you would love to read’, and therefore I’m going to. I’m going to hurt someone today. In spite of this evil act, I’m also going to bring together two soulmates who probably wouldn’t have met if I hadn’t been so determined to commit a crime.

Enjoy your Wednesday!

One Reason I Love What I Do

Good morning,

Yesterday, I took time to do somethings that I haven’t done in a while and which gave me pleasure in the past. One was to pull out old cds and listen to the music great artists produced a decade ago. A few of them were pure country and about lost love.

I’ve always been in awe of song writers and poets. They can express such raw emotion and conjure up powerful imagery is so few words. My admiration for them is one of the reasons I made Carrie in Perfect Hearts a song writer. Carrie had that awesome ability.

Being a writer is fun, because like actors we get to travel to different lands, and times, and become anything we’d want.

Fall in love with Carrie and Luke in Perfect Hearts. It’s on sale this month for $.99 at Amazon.

Enjoy!

Good morning,

Aren’t Sundays the best? Especially when you’re off work and the sun is shining bright. While I do enjoy chatting with people at day job, I’m a pure-at-heart-homebody. I just love days in which I don’t need to be out the door by a certain time. Days that the realm of possibilities in limitless.
One thing I love to do on days like this is connect with friends. This morning, I spent several hours online with a friend Lenee as we worked on our new works. Silently, we wrote lines that we hope readers will gobble up for years to come. I also, spent time with three grandsons, making king-size breakfasts for all. There is no meal better than a homemade Sunday breakfast.

What does the afternoon hold for me? My options are wide open. I could wash my car. I do like driving a shiny car. I could take a walk and feel the winter’s air on face. I could binge watch Outlander, again. Yup I’m a fan. I could grab that hard-cover book I bought before Christmas and get lost in another world. Whatever I do, I know I’ll enjoy. I hope you enjoy your day too!

Tell me what your favorite Sunday breakfast is.
