Glimpsing at the paper this morning during my walk, (I’m a mom. I’ve learned to do several things at once.) I came across an article on the recall of McDonald’s promotional Shrek glasses. If you haven’t heard about it, the glasses are being recalled due to the levels of cadmium baked into the glasses. The article stated long term exposure to low grades of cadmium can cause bone softening and severe kidney problems. Also, like lead, it can also hinder brain development.
